Tributes pour in for a “beautiful” woman Danielle Norton, who was discovered “murdered” in an alley.
Around 8.30am on Saturday, Danielle Norton, also known as Danielle Pinder, was found in Scunthorpe with a fatal head injury.
She was taken to a hospital in the town of North Lincolnshire but tragically passed away on Wednesday as a result of her wounds.
An 18-year-old man who was detained by police on murder suspicion is still being held.
A lady who was further detained in relation to the event has been freed while an investigation is ongoing.
In response to the atrocity that took place in the alleyway between Berkeley Street and Sheffield Street West, Humberside Police opened a murder inquiry.
Following the unfortunate passing, friends and neighbours in Scunthorpe hurried to offer their respects.
“Such a beautiful person she was genuinely an angel and now she’s been gone home,” read one tribute online.
Chelsea Dixon commented on a photo of Danielle on Facebook, “My childhood friend heading onto the town days! I recently spoke with you and informed you that I was always available.
“All of your family, especially your daughters, are in my thoughts. You were unique, and I will always love the memories I have of you. Fly high, Danielle Pinder.”
“Actually can’t get my head around it, it’s soo f****** sad,” Stacey Britteon remarked.
Shook, said Sarah Louise, “absolutely. I remember you from Messingham Rd and Millbrook bad school when we were kids. Sleep tight, xxx.
And Sarah Whittaker paid respects by sharing a picture of the mother along with the message: “Rip Danielle GBNF, thinking of you all xx”
A big “R.I.P. Danielle” and two hearts were spray painted on a wall close to where the mother-of-two was found, and floral tributes adorn the area.
Officers have been looking into a number of lines of inquiries to determine how Danielle died, according to Detective Chief Inspector Nicole Elliott of Humberside Police, who is overseeing the inquiry.
