In an unexpected move, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced a second price increase for its vehicles this year.
This increase, according to Toyota IMC, is the result of the Pakistani Rupee’s (PKR) decline versus the US dollar (USD). According to the company’s statement, they are having trouble keeping their existing rates due to the PKR’s volatility and the economy’s concerns.
The company claimed that because of these variables, manufacturing prices increased, forcing them to shift some of the cost onto customers.
