The cost of manufacturing vehicles has increased as a result of the volatile currency exchange rate and the shaky state of the economy, forcing businesses to raise their retail selling prices and shift the cost to customers.
The cost of the vehicles made in-country by Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased. According to the announcement, the price increase ranges from Rs 110,000 to Rs 500,000 depending on the model.
The Toyota Corolla is available in six different configurations: MT 1.6, ALTIS CVT 1.6, Special Edition, ALTIS CVT 1.8, ALTIS GRANDE CVT-i 1.8 (Beige Interior), and ALTIS GRANDE CVT-i 1.8 (Black Interior). Up to Rs 200,000 has been added to the cost of some Toyota Corolla models, and the top-of-the-line 1.8L Altis Grande CVT now costs PKR 38.99 lac. The cheapest increase of Rs 110,000 was seen on the entry-level Altis 1.6L MT, which is currently priced at PKR 31.59 lac.
The price reduction also applies to the recently released Yaris car, which hasn’t yet been spotted on neighborhood roads. The base 1.3L GLi MT model now costs PKR 24.69 lakh, up Rs. 120,000, while the top-of-the-line 1.5L Yaris AtivX CVT model now costs PKR 29.59 lakh, up Rs. 150,000.
