Tony Garnett man who abandoned his wife Lona Garnett for a refugee from Ukraine Sofia Karkadym claims he has now dumped her because he could no longer put up with her.
Tony Garnett, a security officer, left Lorna, a 28-year-old woman, after falling madly in love with Sofiia Karkadym, 22.
Ten days after they had welcomed Sofiia into their house from the war-torn Ukraine, Tony, 29, shocked his family by leaving.
However, the father of two now alleges that following a string of arguments, he has kicked his now ex-girlfriend out of the house that they had built together.
He stated to the MailOnline, “I am done with her completely. As a couple, we are done.
When the two got into an argument on Saturday night when Tony was celebrating his 30th birthday at their Bradford, West Yorkshire, home, Tony claimed it was the last straw.
He said, “I called the police who were at the address in the end.”
To make the new relationship work, Tony insisted he had “worked so hard” and “made every extra effort.”
Because of our media fame and the attention we have received on television and the internet, he claimed, “I knew that we would appear like t***s if we split up.
“I also had true sympathy for her. She left her home and her war-torn nation, where she knew no one.
The argument broke out while Sofiia Rastorhuieva and her lover Illia Tronevych, two additional Ukrainian refugees, were staying with the couple.
After he saw their request for housing on Facebook, the two had moved in with Tony and Sofiia.
Tony has admitted that beginning a fresh connection with Sofiia was now a “mistake.”
But the father claims he has not deserted his ex-girlfriend and has even messaged her mother to ask for assistance.
To find Sofiia a new home, he also intends to get in touch with the Home Office and the local council.
