A video has surfaced of an extraordinary interaction between a tiger and a leopard. The tiger is seen charging the leopard in the image. Yet none of them engages in a physical altercation in the end. This is remarkable because tigers are known to prey on leopards. Leopards are preyed upon by tigers either for food or to protect their territory. Susanta Nanda, an employee of the Indian Forest Service, posted the video on Twitter and referred to this behavior as “unnatural.”
In the footage, you can see the tiger distantly inspecting the leopard. The second is atop a tree. The tiger then charges toward the leopard as the footage continues. Nonetheless, they stay clear of physical conflict. They exchange long glances before the tiger turns to go.
“This face off between the tiger & leopard is bit unnatural. What do you think as to why both backed up without attacking each other. Peaceful coexistence?” The caption for the video says.

The tiger could have easily taken down (killed) the leopard. But I think that behaviour of lying down by leopard was to show that it surrenders to the tiger? Can’t say that the Tiger let go the leopard since we don’t have the full video.
