As part of their investigation into Nathan Millard’s case, cops arrested an alleged prostitute.
On March 6, Millard’s body was discovered rolled in carpet in a vacant Baton Rouge, Louisiana parking lot.
The Georgia father-of-five is thought to have overdosed on a type of heroin known as “blue magic,” though an official cause of death has not been disclosed.
As part of their investigation into Millard’s death, cops issued arrest warrants for Tabbetha Barner and Tiffany Ann Guidry.
According to Baton Rouge police, Barner is wanted for prostitution and failing to seek help.
Guidry was arrested on Friday morning, according to WBRZ.
On March 13, Derrick Perkins was arrested as a person of interest in Millard’s case.
According to an affidavit, Perkins allegedly wrapped Millard’s body in a carpet and left it in the abandoned lot after driving around with it in his car for two to four days.
According to police documents, he left Millard’s body in his car until the “odor became too strong.”
Perkins’ cell phone records also showed that he was “at or near” the lot where the remains were discovered on several occasions between February 23 and March 6.
According to the affidavit, Perkins allegedly turned off his phone location after Millard’s body was discovered.
On February 22, Millard attended a Louisiana State University basketball game and Happy’s Irish Pub in downtown Baton Rouge with a client.
He was last seen leaving the bar around 11.30 p.m. that night, but he never returned to the Courtyard Marriott hotel, which was about two minutes away by foot.
According to police documents, he went to a Greyhound bus station about a mile away from the bar.
A security guard claimed he tried to get Millard a ride home but was turned down.
Millard allegedly told the guard that he wanted “something to make him feel better” as well as “a girl to take back to his room.”
According to the police reports, he left the station with Perkins, a prostitute, and another man.
Millard’s body was discovered several weeks later after a passerby noticed a “overpowering odour” in the parking lot.
Millard’s wife reported receiving two strange phone calls after her husband’s body was discovered.
On March 15, Amber Millard dialled a Baton Rouge-based number that had attempted to call Millard’s phone – which was discovered on a downtown sidewalk – after he went missing.
Amber reported that a female voice answered and said “yea” before hanging up.
A day later, she received another call from a blocked number and answered it.
The unidentified caller, who was also thought to be a woman, claimed that Perkins and other unknown co-conspirators picked up Millard and purposefully gave him “bad drugs.”
