On Tuesday afternoon, there was a shooting on the Alabama A&M University campus. Three victims were hurt in the incident.
Two of the injured individuals, according to Huntsville officials, drove themselves to the hospital, and Huntsville Fire & Rescue has confirmed that the third individual was transported there by ambulance.
Around 6:00 p.m., the university responded to the incident by sending out a “Campus Alert” warning of a possible “emergency” situation close to the Knight Center.
When everything was okay and there was no longer a threat to the campus, the university issued a follow-up alert to inform the public.
The university also announced that more police would be stationed on campus as detectives worked to complete their in-depth investigations into the incident.
On Tuesday, there was yet another shooting in Placer County. One person lost their life in the incident, and two more people were hurt. In Sacramento County, there was a gunshot around eight in the morning. However, the precise location hasn’t been made public by the sheriff’s office, and it doesn’t appear that anyone was shot during the incident.
Following the shooting, the shooters drove away from the scene in two different vehicles, and they later collided in Placer County near the intersection of PFE Road and Walerga Road.
The deceased was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision. The second car that was involved in the collision only had one female driver. The identities of the deceased have not yet been made public, despite the fact that the other two involved were taken to the hospital.
According to the sheriff’s office, everyone involved in the incident is presumed to have known one another. Police officials report that no arrests have been made in this case to date.
