In a Six Flags Great America theme park, at least three individuals have been shot.
At the entrance to the Gurnee, Illinois, theme park, shots were reportedly fired around 7.50 p.m.
According to CBS2, the theme park’s parking area is where the three victims were shot.
One individual was shot in the leg, according to The Arlington Cardinal.
However, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office informed The U.S. Sun: “(There is) no evidence it’s an active shooter at this moment.” Initially, many claimed on social media that they feared an active shooter was at the location.
Videos and pictures from the situation, including one showing people cowering in groups during the fear, have been posted by park visitors.
There have been numerous reports of police and emergency personnel.
According to reports, numerous ambulances have also been dispatched to the area.
