Plans to finally add an edit button to the messaging service have been discovered by a WHATSAPP insider.
Millions of users have long asked for the ability to edit, hoping to fix embarrassing typos or gaffes.
Early builds for it have been seen by experts in the past, but they have not yet materialised.
There are now even more indications that the feature is in development, according to WhatsApp insider website WABetaInfo.
An edit feature on iOS for the iPhone can be seen in a stolen screenshot.
If you could change something when a message was held down, you could.
Any message that you have edited, according to the website, will have a label indicating that.
Additionally, after it has been sent, you only have a maximum of 15 minutes to make any changes.
Since this is a very early build, WhatsApp may still make some minor changes.
Furthermore, they might ultimately decide not to make it public at all.
Future updates will be subject to observation, but it is encouraging.
Early versions of WhatsApp are frequently made available to beta testers, but they don’t even have the edit button yet.
However, your best chance of receiving new features first is through the beta programme.
