The Terminal List seems to have been watched by everyone and their father. On July 1, the thriller series debuted on Amazon Prime Video and has since consistently ranked among the top 10 shows on the streaming service’s daily Top 10 list. With bestsellers like Bosch, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Reacher, Amazon has cornered the market on action-packed novel series adaptations.
The first season of The Terminal List is based on Jack Carr, a former Navy SEAL who is now an author, and his debut novel of the same name. It follows James Reece, a SEAL leader (Chris Pratt), as he exposes a military plot in order to exact revenge on those who killed every other member of his team. Carr has authored four additional novels about James Reece since The Terminal List was released in 2018, so Pratt & co. won’t be short of material to adapt. The Terminal List seems like a lock for Season 2 renewal given its appeal and rich source material. The issue is that it hasn’t occurred yet. We’ll do our best to respond to any inquiries you may have.
The Terminal List Been Renewed for Season 2?
The Terminal List’s lack of a second season order from Amazon as of August 19 is surprising given how frequently projects with such immediate success as The Terminal List are renewed. For instance, Reacher was renewed for Season 2 just a few days after the first season’s debut. But no word on a renewal has been released for The Terminal List for more than six weeks.
But don’t worry too much about it. The creators of the programme have all stated a wish to continue the series.
Showrunner David DiGilio, director Antoine Fuqua, and author Jack Carr indicated in a joint interview with Screen Rant before the show’s debut that they plan to continue if Amazon gives them the green light and that they “have a roadmap for each season ahead of us” in the form of Carr’s novels. In other words, they have plans for more seasons. And keep in mind, they said this before The Terminal List spent over four weeks at the top of Prime Video’s top 10 list.
The only way The Terminal List wouldn’t be renewed, in our opinion, is if Chris Pratt, the show’s star, executive producer, and inspiration, couldn’t or didn’t want to do another season. And it appears to be
“Jack Carr’s written five extraordinary books,” Pratt told Digital Spy. “He’s quite a prolific author, and they’re all reading the top of the New York Times’ Best Seller list. I think it’d be fantastic to keep it going.”
Who Will Be in The Terminal List Season 2?
There aren’t many characters left by the end of Season 1 of The Terminal List who might return in Season 2. Chris Pratt is the only one about whom we can be confident that he will return. On the other hand, True Believer adds a tonne of fresh characters that might attract even more A-list talent to the show.
Where Can I Watch The Terminal List?
The only way to watch The Terminal List is to have an Amazon Prime Video subscription because it is an Amazon Prime Video exclusive. Streaming of Season 1 has begun.
