The Legend of Maula Jatt has met, if not exceeded expectations after many ups and downs, delays, and legal hurdles. This programme has never been implemented in Pakistan. It’s been a true labour of love.
It coincides with efforts to bring back a cult favourite. Although it may not have taken many cues from the original, it gives the film a unique vitality. More than anything, it is a lifesaver for the Pakistani film industry, which is otherwise languishing.
On IMDb, TLoMJ currently has a 9.4 rating. On the third day of its worldwide release, the movie has earned the number two slot in IMDb ratings.
