As a result of the ongoing cold wave, Pakistan has experienced record-breaking temperatures. Mercury either dropped to the freezing point or below it from Khyber to Karachi.
This Tuesday’s morning in Islamabad was the coldest ever, with a low of -1°C for the locals. Most of the city was covered with frost, which affected the locals.
Keep in mind that this is merely the lowest temperature recorded in Islamabad for this winter. The lowest temperature ever recorded in Islamabad was 4.3°C, which happened to be in 1984.
This winter has seen record-breaking temperatures in Lahore and Karachi as too. The coldest winter night in a number of years was experienced in Lahore on Monday.
