According to reports, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend was detained for reportedly punching the Brooklyn rapper in the face at a Miami nightclub early on Monday morning.
According to NBC Miami, the 25-year-old Rachel Wattley allegedly struck the rainbow-haired rhymer and pulled on his chain after an altercation inside Kiki on the River.
When investigating officers saw marks on the rapper’s face, they arrested Wattley on suspicion of misdemeanour violence.
With the rapper for three years, Wattley, who goes by “Jade” on social media, has 1.7 million Instagram followers.
She previously made news in 2018 after a fight with Cardi B inside a Queens nightclub amid claims that she had slept with the rapper Offset, the husband of the “Bodak Yellow” emcee.
After the altercation, Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is seen in video yelling at a group of upset women outside the club, among them Wattley.
Hernandez hides inside a parked exotic car after what looks to be one lady strikes her.
The Bed-Stuy native revealed to TMZ that he is trying to secure a bail bond for his troubled sweetheart, who is being detained in a Miami jail on a $1,500 bond.
He stated that he chose not to formally assist the police.
“You must assess her. She is obviously intoxicated. I don’t intend to file a complaint… I’m the one attempting to save her, he said, according to the website.
After serving time in prison for racketeering and other raps, Tekashi was freed in 2020.
