Takeoff, a rapper with the Migos, was fatally shot many times in the head and torso, according to a coroner’s report.
Takeoff’s cause of death was given as “penetrating gunshot wounds of the head and chest into his arm” by the Harris County Medical Examiner.
Takeoff was shot and killed early on Tuesday after a dispute that started as he was leaving a Houston bowling alley.
An dispute between rapper Quavo of the Migos and Takeoff’s uncle can be seen in a video that was made public at the time of the shooting.
The 28-year-old rapper is thought to have stayed out of the altercation.
Local authorities have enlisted the public’s help as police continue to look into who fired the rounds that claimed the rapper’s life.
” I’m asking for any of the persons who were at this private party … that have information on the shooter or shooters please provide that information to HPD and let us solve it,” Mayor Sylvester Turner said. “We will solve this particular case.
Police are still searching for a potential second shooter despite having one person of interest in custody already, according to reports.
“Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated,” reads a statement from Takeoff’s rep.
