Sziget Festival returns for another year, with the 2023 edition set to take place on Buda Island in Budapest, Hungary, from August 10 to August 15, 2023. The festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, having initially taken place in 1993.
The festival organizers revealed on their official Instagram page that the 2023 edition would include performances by musicians such as Lorde, Caroline Polacheck, Mimi Webb, and Easy Life, among others:

Tickets are presently available on the festival’s official website. General admission tickets cost €365 including processing costs. VIP tickets cost €585 + processing costs.
Florence and the Machine, an English indie-rock band, would headline the first day of the Sziget festival. The band is most recognized for the publication of their third studio album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, on May 29, 2015. The album reached the top of the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the Billboard 200.
The American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons will headline the event on Day 2. The band rose to notoriety with the release of their second studio album, Smoke + Mirrors, on February 17, 2015. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album list.
Sziget Festival will be hosted by French DJ and record producer David Guetta, who catapulted to notoriety with the release of his fourth studio album, One Love, on August 21, 2009. The album debuted at the top of the French album chart.
On Day 4, the event will be headlined by Mumford and Sons, a British folk band that rose to fame with their debut studio album, Sigh No More, released on October 2, 2009. The album charted at number two in the United Kingdom.
Lorde, a New Zealand singer-songwriter, will lead the event on Day 5. The singer-songwriter is most known for Pure Heroine, their debut studio album, which was released on September 27, 2013. The album reached the top of the New Zealand and Australian album charts.
On Day 6, Billie Eilish, a singer-songwriter, will headline Sziget Festival 2023. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, the singer-songwriter’s debut studio album, was released on March 29, 2019. The album reached the top of all major album charts.

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union and Hungary’s subsequent independence, a group of artists and musicians formed the Sziget Festival. Diáksziget (Student Island) was the initial name for the festival. The first several festivals were a financial failure.
