The Bolan AC model has once again been discontinued by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC). Even though the corporation hasn’t made it official, market reports cite low sales as the cause of the discontinuation.
Only 580 Suzuki Bolan units have been sold overall by PSMC during the last two months. Only a small portion of such units are sold as AC variants. Sales have been hampered by the production cuts, but Bolan’s demand has decreased recently as well.
According to the experts, Bolan AC was outclassed by its rivals in terms of power, cost, and age. Bolan, a long-standing museum item, is frequently criticised for having performance problems, body vibrations, and overheating engines.
The 2022 Suzuki Every Wagon, a microvan that is supposedly going to take the position of the deteriorating Bolan, was one of many new vehicles PSMC unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) in 2022.
Despite being almost a decade older than Bolan, the 11th generation Every seems and feels considerably more modern. In comparison to Bolan, it boasts a 660cc petrol engine with electronic fuel injection that produces higher power and has superior fuel efficiency.
Additionally, it includes front disc brakes, coil spring suspension, air conditioning, front power windows, dual airbags, and other amenities that considerably improve the product.
A company representative revealed to ProPakistani at the ceremony that the company will debut the new Every in Pakistan in a few months to take the place of Bolan. It is definitely time to do this given the latter’s dismal sales.
