Family sources confirmed that Vijay Raghavendra’s wife passed away after having a heart attack while on vacation.
Spandana, 41, passed away on Sunday night in a hospital in Bangkok while visiting her family in Thailand.
On Monday, Raghavendra’s brother Sri Murali confirmed the death and revealed that Spandana had been on vacation with her cousins in the capital city of Thailand.
She went to bed as usual and didn’t wake up.
He said, “My brother is currently in Bangkok and we are waiting for the updates.”
According to family members, she had low blood pressure, which caused a heart attack and her death.
She was scheduled to take part in a movie promotion and was expected to fly back to India on Monday, according to a source in the business.
Spandana and Vijay were slated to commemorate their 16th wedding anniversary this month after getting hitched in 2007.
She separates from her husband and their son Shourya.
Years of acting and singing experience in the Kannada film industry led to Vijay’s 2016 Karnataka State Film Award victory for Best Actor for the film Shivayogi Sri Puttayyajja.
He was a judge on the reality competition Dance Karnataka Dance and the first-season champion of Bigg Boss Kannada.
