Today, the Ukrainian immigrant who had been discarded by her British love rat left the country to return to her devastated native country.
Sofiia Karkadym, 22, was so heartbroken when heartless Tony Garnett left her that she gave up her new existence in this place.
She took a trip from Manchester Airport to Poland, and she would subsequently travel back to Kyiv to be with her family.
Sofiia boarded a bus to return to Ukraine after taking the 6 o’clock Ryanair aircraft to Wroclaw, Poland.
As she waited to board her flight, she told The Sun, “I am returning to Ukraine because to the circumstances between me and Tony here in England.
“Since I haven’t seen my family in six months, I might use some encouragement from them. I must make time for myself and take care of myself.
“Also my grandmother celebrated her 70th birthday recently and I want to see all of them.
“I was living in a hostel and I did not have a plan for the next stage so I have to go home.
“I have mixed feelings about my time in England.
“There were a lot of good things but it became really hard for me and I didn’t expect all of the public reaction which was difficult.
“But I have been left with a very good impression of people here. I am so grateful to everyone for the way they have been willing to help me and other people from Ukraine after the war. There has been a lot of kindness.
“I have no idea what the future holds for me now. I will spend time with my family and friends and then I will decide on the next stage of my life.”
After leaving her, Tony drove her to the airport a week later.
And when other travellers recognised them from articles in The Sun about their tragic love, the arrogant security guard was overjoyed.
I saw him and then she as they entered the elevator with me, a patron remarked. When I asked if they were back together, he said, “No.”
