Could this concept jet represent the future of air travel? It has three large decks, six massive engines, a panoramic observation area in the nose, and enough room for 800 people.

The massive “Progress Eagle” flying hotel-like design is larger than the world’s largest passenger aircraft, such as the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A380-900.

The aircraft is expected to be able to stay in the air practically indefinitely, thanks to an ambitious power source based on solar collecting satellites.

And, like an ocean liner, guests would be able to enjoy cruises throughout the world.

The Progress Eagle “One Flight” variant would include cabins rather than banks of airline seats.

It is also intended that cruise guests would have access to onboard amenities such as a restaurant, a spa, a theater, stores, and a casino.

However, this version of the airplane would only seat 300 people, as opposed to the more normal form, which would seat 800.

However, one of the idea plane’s most remarkable features – the panoramic viewing lounge in the plane’s nose – would be open to both.

The plane’s fuselage expands out to form a bulbous observation deck, with the cockpit elevated above it on the second deck.

Passengers who purchased the “pilot’s class” tickets would enjoy a particularly opulent experience with breathtaking views of the sky.

The remaining seats would be distributed throughout the three decks, with a tourist class, a business class, and a pilot class.

Passengers’ seats would be configured in a 3-2-4-2-3 layout, with the designer hoping that all passengers would have enough space for a comfortable journey.

The plane is intended to be “self-sufficient,” using less energy and being considerably quieter than conventional flights.

The Progress Eagle has a wingspan of 315 feet and a length of 263 feet, making it larger than any modern commercial airplane.

It just beats out the 240ft Airbus A380-800 and the 230ft Boeing 747.

Oscar Vinals, a Spanish designer, emphasizes that the Progress Eagle is a plane of the future, built with technologies that will be more widely available after 2030.

He feels that just about half of the technology required to make his dream aircraft a reality is now available – but perhaps the Progress Eagle will take to the skies one day.

The plane’s six engines are powered by hydrogen fuel cells rather than fossil fuels.

And the roof and wings would be covered with solar panels, as well as an onboard wind turbine, to help it collect the energy it needs to keep its batteries charged.

Vinals describes the design as an outgrowth of one of his previous conceptions, the more traditional Sky Whale.

“I became interested in aeronautics, after a bad experience during a flight that fortunately ended only in a big scare,” Oscar previously told The Sun Online.

“My interest in knowing more about airplanes and all their aspects became in a more serious ‘hobby’ and with the goal of trying to ‘improve’ future commercial airplanes, designing concepts based on my personal studies about them and how it would be possible to get a feasible design.
