In November of last year, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Oppo was the first to announce a phone with the chip without waiting around. Vivo, on the other hand, was the first to market with Qualcomm’s powerful octa-core SoC. The Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm’s annual mobile SoC event, has now been given a date. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s launch date is probably the same as well.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is anticipated to offer a significant improvement in performance and power efficiency over its predecessor, will be unveiled on the date Qualcomm confirmed. On October 24-26, the company will make an earlier-than-usual announcement about its new flagship SoC.
In Maui, Hawaii, Qualcomm will hold its annual Snapdragon Summit. But compared to last year, it will happen this time about a month earlier. This time, rather than the 1+2+2+3 used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Gen 2 series, the chip will have a new 1+5+2 architecture.
The SoC is said to have an Adreno 750 GPU, 5 Cortex-A720 cores, 2 Cortex-A520 cores, and 1 Cortex-X4 prime core, which should result in a significant improvement in performance. Additionally, the CPU package will increase the L3 cache from 8MB to 10MB.
Reputable Chinese tipper Digital Chat Station asserts that in November, the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first to ship with Qualcomm’s new flagship chip. The new chipset will also be available in the vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 series, OnePlus 12, and Realme GT5.
