The bizarre incident happened on Monday while the male victim was jumping at Skydive DeLand, according to the DeLand Police Department.
Around 12.30 p.m., police arrived at the DeLand Airport scene.
According to a skydiving company official who confirmed the disaster, his parachute did not open, according to FOX 35.
According to police, the male diver died following a “hard landing.”
The victim’s name has not yet been made public.
About 45 minutes north of Orlando is DeLand.
