Pillion riding on motorcycles on the ninth and tenth of Muharram (this Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29) has been outlawed by the Sindh government for security reasons. The ban has been announced across the entire province of Sindh by the Sindh Home Department.
It will be unlawful to ride a motorcycle with a passenger. The ban will not apply to women, children, people with disabilities, or people over the age of 65.
The province has also suspended all licenses to carry weapons. All meetings and processions in the province, with the exception of those related to Muharram, have been banned, according to the provincial interior department.
Motorcycles Are Not Allowed in the Red Zone
The red zone of Islamabad is off-limits to motorcycles until the 12th of Muharram (Monday, July 31).
A shuttle service has been implemented from three points to enter the red zone, according to an official tweet from the Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP). Serena Chowk, Parade Avenue, and Marriott Chowk are some of the points. People are not to ride motorcycles into the red zone area, according to the authorities.
