This week, the tragic rollercoaster crash victim who is still confined to a hospital bed due to her injuries is expected to appear in court.
Shylah Rodden, 26, was struck by a rollercoaster at the Melbourne Royal Show in Australia in September of last year, resulting in severe injuries that have changed her life.
It is believed that she dropped her phone while riding The Rebel Coaster and went onto the train tracks to get it.
Public records indicate that Shylah is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday even though she is still being treated at the hospital where she was pulled out of a medically induced coma in November (January 11).
The theft allegations, according to the police, are connected to an event that took place before to the rollercoaster crash, as reported by the Daily Mail Australia.
Before the matter goes to trial or if it is dismissed, the specifics and accusations won’t be made public.
Due to Shylah’s condition, the court hearing scheduled for Wednesday may be postponed. She was hurled nine metres into the air during the horrific incident, and she is now unable to speak.
Detailing her injuries after the incident, father Alan Rodden told the Daily Mail Australia: “The injuries are horrific. Horrific. She’s brain damaged.
“It’s pelvic, her arms, legs, back, neck – there’s hardly a thing that’s not broken. I just can’t work out how the hell so much damage has been done.
“Even the doctors have said they haven’t seen anything as bad as this for a long time.”
The theme park ride, according to the police, was going 43 mph when it struck Shylah.
It happened after she was in a terrible vehicle accident in 2021, which required her to rediscover walking.
