In an effort to be released from a life sentence, a CONVICTED rapist allegedly escaped from prison on a jet ski with assistance from his mother and sister.
The 38-year-old prisoner Samuel Hartman broke out of Brickeys Prison in east Arkansas on Friday, according to authorities.
After shooting a pistol at Arkansas detention guards during his escape, officials fear Hartman is armed and dangerous.
According to officials, the prisoner may have crossed the Mississippi River and is currently thought to be in the Mississippi region of Tunica County.
Linda White, 60, and Misty Hartman, his sister, who is believed to have assisted Hartman in escaping, are wanted by the police.
After a farmer discovered two abandoned jet skis on a boat dock close to Mhoon Landing Park, which is close to where the three were believed to be, police assume that Hartman used jet skis to leave.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into the jet skis, according to FOX13.
The police believe that Hartman may also be driving a white 2021 Chevy Z71 Trail Boss with Arkansas licence plates 398 ZVY or without any plates at all.
