Shoaib Malik discussed the much-discussed rivalry between Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam and his teammates Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir.
During the post-match news conference, the all-rounder stated that all three cricketers had high esteem for one another as professionals.
“Respect is one thing that should never be lacking. When I watch Babar, Amir, and Imad together, I notice that they respect each other “Malik said.
“The league benefits from the rivalry. When you are out on the field, you should give your all. Your task is to find your own motivation. You should surely strive to be your best self if anything inspires you to do so. The fact that everyone respects one another and acts appropriately is a plus,” Added he.
The left-arm pacer recently said something to a local broadcaster that infuriated Azam’s supporters.
It won’t matter to me if I’m facing Babar or a tailender playing at number 10, my duty is to take wickets and help my side win games, he continued.
Zalmi skipper, on the other hand, let his bat do the talking with a match-winning 68-run performance against Karachi Kings on Tuesday.
During his knock, Babar struck Amir and Imad for two boundaries apiece.
