Shahid Afridi, a former captain of the Pakistani cricket team, hosted a dinner for the team to commemorate their historic win over New Zealand in the one-day international series.
Afridi tweeted images of the event, expressing his admiration for the group and wishing them luck in their upcoming game. Players like Shaheen Afridi, Ihsanullah, Mohammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and Iftikhar Ahmed, as well as coaching staff members, were present at the dinner.
After winning the third one-day international by 26 runs and bowling out New Zealand for 261, the team in Karachi took the following day off.
Imam-ul-Haq, a left-handed opener, was instrumental in Pakistan’s victory, helping to establish momentum with captain Babar Azam through an impressive 108-run partnership. Despite coming close to a century, Imam’s innings featured seven boundaries and a six.
