Nasser Hussain, a former England captain, called the Pakistani pace team of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah “gold dust” and counselled the side to properly control their effort.
The two young fast bowlers, who are representing Pakistan in all three formats, need rest and rotation, Hussain emphasised.
“Pakistan needs to rest and rotate its fast bowlers. Both Naseem and Shaheen are like gold dust, and you need to be very careful with both of them playing all three formats,” he said.
The ICC World Cup in India in 2023 is most likely to be won by Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi because of their performance. They are quite dominant with their speed attack.
After a great debut in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Naseem Shah is quite confident in his bowling and wants to give his all throughout the upcoming World Cup.
Due to a knee injury, Afridi has been sidelined, while Naseem has only participated in a portion of the most recent Test and ODI series against England and New Zealand.
Afridi and Naseem will compete in the 2019 Pakistan Super League as captains of the Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, respectively.
