Star In the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is most likely to captain the side.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are anticipated to have a break prior to the white-ball series against New Zealand, which will begin on April 13 with the first of five T20I matches.
The series is set to include speedster Ihsanullah, all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim, and young players Saim Ayub, Haseebullah Khan, and Azam Khan.
The matches, which were originally scheduled to be played in Sharjah on March 25, 27, and 29, will now take place on March 24, 26, and 27.
According to reports, all three games will start earlier than expected since the Hawk-Eye Technology wouldn’t be available at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on the days it was supposed to be there.
The scheduling of Afghanistan’s home three-match T20I series against Pakistan will be somewhat altered, according to the Afghanistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The first game of the series will now begin on March 24, and the last two games will be played in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on March 26 and 27.
In addition, Muhammad Yousuf, a former cricketer for Pakistan, is anticipated to be selected as the team’s temporary coach for the forthcoming series against Afghanistan.
