Shadab Khan, a Pakistani leg-spinner, suffered a neck injury while playing in a T20 Vitality match on Friday night and had to leave the field. Shadab, who is currently representing Sussex Sharks in the UK’s county cricket league, collided with Nathan McAndrew during the match against Somerset while attempting to catch a ball.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore of Somerset hit a shot over extra cover, resulting in the collision. Both fielders lost their balance and needed emergency medical attention. About ten minutes passed while the game was paused.
