The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department late on Thursday restored the former hours of the educational institutions with immediate effect as the severity of the cold wave has diminished throughout the state.
In a circular, Additional Director Rafia Javed of the Directorate of Inspection/Registration of Private Institutions stated: “The circular… Dated: 25/1/2023, issued by this directorate regarding school schedules is thus withdrawn as the intensity of winter/cold has diminished across the province.”
In light of the extreme cold wave, the provincial education department revised the opening dates of schools on January 25.
According to a previous circular, privately run schools were required to open at 8:30am.
