Electronic visas for Umrah have been introduced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to make it simpler for more Muslims to travel to Saudi Arabia and complete the pilgrimage. This initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives, which include raising the standard of Umrah services and bringing in more tourists.
The Nusuk platform assists Muslims from all over the world with their travel arrangements, lodging choices, and transportation needs. It also offers them useful information and interactive maps in a variety of languages for their convenience.
The Ministry had previously announced that people with Schengen visas and tourist visas from the GCC nations could now schedule Umrah appointments using the Nusk program.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also streamlines the application process for people with different visa types.
The Ministry has reduced insurance costs for Umrah pilgrims by 63% as a result of the new legislation while maintaining access to medical care. The duration of the Umrah visa has been increased from 30 days to 90 days, and there are no longer any health requirements. They have also instituted quicker processing of Umrah visas, issuing them within 24 hours.
