A special e-visa waiver program has been launched by the Saudi Arabian government, and it will go into effect on Thursday. All citizens of the United Kingdom (UK) and Northern Ireland are covered by the new policy.
A single entry to Saudi Arabia is permitted under this e-visa-free program for a maximum of six months. However, a waiver application has to be made at least 48 hours before traveling to the Kingdom, and preferably three months beforehand.
The application procedure is also straightforward. A traveler must fill out the necessary information on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs official website.
By promoting travel for a variety of purposes, such as healthcare, education, tourism, and business, Saudi Arabia hopes to deepen its ties with the UK.
Pakistani e-visa is now available from Saudi Arabia
Separately, the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia has made it simpler for citizens of a dozen countries, including Pakistan, to visit Saudi Arabia by launching electronic visas (or “e-visas”).
The Saudi General Aviation Authority (GACA) made an official announcement announcing the adoption of a new procedure for issuing QR-coded e-visas.
12 Saudi embassies, including those in Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Egypt, are now using the system.
