Sara Ali Khan, a Bollywood actress, made her red carpet debut at the Cannes International Film Festival 2023 this past week. The actor chose an ivory lehenga for the opening ceremony, going for a desi look to draw attention to Indian culture on a global stage.

Sara will be joined at the prestigious film festival by Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, Mrunal Thakur, and Manushi Chhillar.
In terms of work, the actress has appeared in Gaslight on Disney+ Hotstar and will next be seen with Vicky Kaushal in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
Additionally, she is working on the untitled Jagan Shakti film and Homi Adjania’s Murder Mubarak in addition to Ae Watan Mere Watan.
One of the festival’s major highlights, aside from the Bollywood celebrities making their debuts, was Johnny Depp’s appearance on the red carpet. At the premiere of the opening night movie Jeanne Du Barry, the troubled actor, who hasn’t been seen in public since his protracted 2022 legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard, received a jubilant seven-minute standing ovation.
