The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are currently available for pre-order in India and are anticipated to be revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26. The next generation of foldable phones has already been the subject of numerous leaks over the past few months, and most recently, a hands-on video of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 mockups has appeared online. The upcoming flip phone’s design is alluded to in the video. It appears to have a hinge gap and is depicted with an exterior display in the form of a folder. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is seen to have a fingerprint sensor, just like the previous version.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 dummy units were featured in a hands-on video and photos posted by Leakspinner. They advocate using a design aesthetic akin to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 from the previous year. It is visible with two camera modules and a much larger folder-shaped cover display, though. The water drop-style hinge that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have eliminates the space between the two halves while folding. However, the video clearly shows a gap when the clamshell foldable is folded.
On the right edge of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the volume rocker and power button with an integrated fingerprint reader can be seen. A USB Type-C port can be seen on the bottom, and the SIM card tray appears to be positioned to the left. These design features seem to correspond with what has previously leaked. But it’s important to take these images with a grain of salt.
On July 26 at 4:00 PST, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled to take place. The organization’s website and YouTube channel will stream it live. In India, Samsung is now accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5’s complete specifications recently surfaced online. It is expected to have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080, 2,640 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED main display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, run Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1, and run those two operating systems simultaneously. A 3.4-inch 748 x 720 panel with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz is anticipated for the outer screen. It might be powered by an 8GB RAM/Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC combination.
According to reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has storage capacities of 265GB and 512GB. It will probably include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera in addition to a 12-megapixel primary camera. A 10-megapixel selfie camera is anticipated to be included as well. A 3,700mAh battery might be found inside the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
