The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series, which includes the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra tablets, is anticipated to be launched later this year. The Galaxy Tab S8 series, which consisted of the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra variants, was introduced by Samsung in February 2022. Several important details regarding the next Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 gadget have been reported.
According to a Sammobile report, Samsung is reportedly replacing the batteries in its top tablet series. The model number-specified web source claims that the Samsung Tab S9 would have a bigger battery than its predecessors.
According to an application recently found by GalaxyClub on the website of the Chinese agency CQC, the Galaxy Tab S9 Li-ion battery, produced by Samsung SDI, has part number EB-BX716ABY, as per the report. The Galaxy Tab S9 series, and more specifically the entry-level Tab S9 model, should utilize the SM-X71x model number, which is related to this categorization.
The Galaxy Tab S9 would have a bigger battery than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 models, the report claims. The battery unit mentioned has a claimed capacity of 8,160mAh.
The rated capacity of the batteries in the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S8 was 7,760mAh, which translated to a “typical” capacity of 8000mAh. According to the source, if the Samsung Tab S9 battery has an 8160mAh claimed capacity, its actual capacity would probably range between 8,400mAh and 8,500mAh. The Samsung Tab S9+ or Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra devices’ battery capacities are currently unknown.
A previous rumor revealed that the Galaxy Tab S9 series would have an IP67 rating, and a further leak indicated that the series will likely debut in the second half of 2023. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor, which also powers the Galaxy S23 series, is expected to power the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra variant, according to a prior rumor.
