Military-focused smartphones Samsung Galaxy S23 Tactical Edition and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro have been introduced in the US. These smartphones reportedly support “the requirements of tactical and classified applications” and are “mission-ready” devices. They are made to satisfy the security demands of the US military. They include features like the Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit (BATDOK) and the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK). The phones’ core functions, such as display features and others, remain the same despite the addition of new software, security measures, and a rugged case.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Tactical Edition:

The Galaxy S23 Tactical Edition includes exclusive features such as night vision mode, stealth mode, and lock screen auto rotation.

The Galaxy XCover 6 Pro Tactical Edition also has exclusive tactical features and a tough design that is said to have passed a 1.5-meter drop test and MIL-STD-810H testing. It also offers an IP68 rating for resistance to water, sand, dirt, and dust.

It has a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and full-HD+ resolution. It has 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 778G SoC as its power source.

Extra Features:
In addition to these, the Samsung DeX software, which offers a PC-like experience and lets users complete reports, training, or mission planning while in the vehicle or back at the base, is included with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro Tactical Edition, according to a statement from the company. The smartphones are compatible with a variety of carrier networks, as well as Wi-Fi 6E, CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service), and private 5G SIM cards.
Additionally, Samsung claimed that the DualDAR architecture used by the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro Tactical Edition phones secures the device through dual-layered encryption. Even with the phone off or in an unauthenticated state, it still functions.
