Later this year, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to launch in a few markets. According to a report, the company intends to release the newest Galaxy S-series Fan Edition smartphone in Q3 2023. According to reports, the phone is powered by the same chipset as some Galaxy S22 series smartphones. A new primary rear camera will reportedly be included in the Galaxy S23 FE. After the early 2022 release of the Galaxy S21 FE, it will be the first Fan Edition phone.
According to a prior report citing unnamed sources, the South Korean conglomerate intended to release the rumored Galaxy S23 FE smartphone in select markets in Q4 2023. The report has since been updated, stating that the device will likely hit some regions in the third quarter of this year and others in the first quarter of 2024. After the Galaxy S22 series was unveiled last year, Samsung didn’t release a Fan Edition phone, and the smartphone manufacturer hasn’t yet disclosed any plans for a less expensive version of its flagship device.
Samsung will reportedly give the Galaxy S23 FE an Exynos 2200 chipset, which is coupled with an AMD Xclipse 920 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage, unlike its previous high-end smartphones. The Galaxy S22 series of smartphones were powered by this chip last year in many non-US regions. All Galaxy S23 FE models, including those offered for sale in the US, will reportedly come with the manufacturer’s own chip, according to the report.
A 50-megapixel primary camera sensor is rumored to be coming to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which is expected to be an upgrade over the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE. According to the report, it will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and may support 25W wired charging.
While the expected release date for the rumored Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may have changed, a tipster said last month that the company would include its Exynos 2200 SoC in the device. The smartphone was predicted to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip inside, according to earlier reports. Given that Samsung has not yet formally announced plans to release a new Galaxy S-series Fan Edition smartphone, it is best to treat these claims with a grain of salt.
