It has been revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will debut on February 1, 2023 at the following Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has already started its teaser marketing and has confirmed a couple of the features for its future flagships.
Industry leaks are getting more frequent and probably more accurate as the launch date approaches. The most recent one comes from Twitter user RGCloudS, who released pricing information for every Galaxy S23 model.
The lowest-end Galaxy S22 Ultra (1 TB/12 GB) will cost $1,499, while the highest-end Galaxy S23 series will start at $799 (8 GB/128 GB). Wi-Fi 7 functionality will only be available on the S23+ and S23 Ultra, not the base Galaxy S23. Wi-Fi 6 and ultra-wideband technologies will be available on all three.
The Galaxy S23+ will start at $999 for an 8 GB/128 GB device; a 512 GB model is not mentioned, despite earlier leaks suggesting it exists. Older rumours said that all models will come standard with 256 GB of storage, giving many users a free upgrade, however that does not appear to be the case in this instance.
As for the top-dog S23 Ultra, it will start at $1,249 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage and will go all the way up to $1,499, which is nearly as much as Samsung’s Z Fold series. Here is a breakdown of all the prices for all variants.
- Galaxy S23 (8 GB/128 GB): $799
- Galaxy S23 (8 GB/256 GB): $849
- Galaxy S23+ (8 GB/128 GB): $999
- Galaxy S23+ (8 GB/256 GB): $1,049
