The 15 most wanted Brits in the world, including a terrorist commander, a notorious con artist, and Samantha Lewthwaite, the so-called “White Widow,” have been unveiled by INTERPOL.
With several UK citizens on the run for years, the international criminal bureau issued 15 red alerts against them.
An international Red Notice is a request to law enforcement to find and temporarily detain a suspect pending extradition, surrender, or other legal action.
The fugitive criminals are sought for either prosecution or sentencing.
Masood Ul Haq, a 48-year-old dual national sought on terrorism-related crimes and for his role in terrorist planning, is one of the people on the list. He is a suspected terror leader.
He speaks both English and Urdu and is charged with leading a terrorist organisation outlawed in Pakistan.
He stands around 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a cut on his right hand, a black mole on his left cheek, and a minor limp when he walks.
Samantha Lewthwaite, the 38-year-old “White Widow” who has spent the last ten years on the most wanted list, is also included.
The extremist, who was previously married to a suicide bomber from the 7/7 attacks and was the mother of up to five children, left the UK in 2009 and travelled to South Africa before entering Tanzania in 2011 and Kenya in 2012.
After some time, investigators found her in Somalia, where she was hiding out with al-affiliate Qaeda’s al-Shabaab.
