Mum-of-four The 50-year-old Vanessa died on Saturday, nine days after collapsing at home.
She was taken urgently from her North London home in Enfield to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City, where she was put into a coma.
Sam was “beside herself,” according to insiders, and visited Vanessa every day before she passed away on Saturday afternoon.
The sole complete sister of the Page Three favourite was reportedly Vanessa.
It comes eight years after the death of her longtime companion Myra Stratton from cancer. Model and pop singer Sam, 56, first featured in The Sun 40 years ago.
Sam revealed how Vanessa saved her after their alcoholic father Pat attacked her in advance of her 2017 autobiography Forever.
She said: “I thought he was going to kill me and begged him to stop. When I tried to get up he kicked me so hard in the stomach it winded me and he wouldn’t stop.
“My sister Vanessa heard what was going on and jumped on his back to get him off me.”
Sam’s rep last night told The Sun: “Sam would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses for their care and support.
“Sam and her family respectfully ask for privacy at this difficult time.”
The couple may be seen arm in arm before taking off on their holiday in old photographs.
The sisters are grinning as they wait to board their aircraft to Portugal at Heathrow Airport.
In further photos, the sisters and their parents, Carole Ann Wilken and John Patrick Fox, are seen posing in the living room.
The 56-year-old had endured years of anguish before Vanessa’s passing.
Myra Stratton, the girlfriend of the model, actress, and singer, unfortunately lost her battle with illness in 2015.
Sam once remarked, “People say I’m gay. I don’t know what I am. We’ve been together for 16 years.
Sam entered Celebrity Big Brother the next year “in honour of Myra”.
Sam also met Linda Birgitte Olsen, a Norwegian mother of two, in the same year, who became her new love interest.
She exclusively told The Sun that Linda made her “extremely happy,” and she shared pictures of the two of them grinning.
Sam reaffirmed her joy in 2017.
I must admit, I’m in a really happy position right now, she said to GMB.
“All I know is that I’m in love with Myra.
“I love her completely and want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
“The last few years have been difficult with my partner dying and suffering from cancer.”
Then last year Sam revealed she had her own cancer scare.
The singer broke down in tears as she explained she had discovered a lump in her throat.
Sam said: “I was in shock. My fiancée Linda was with me, and broke down in tears.
