Saifullah Solangi, a well-known Pakistani athlete, won four medals on Tuesday at the Special Olympics World Games 2023 being held in Berlin, Germany.
Excited sports fans celebrated back home as Saifullah won two gold, one silver, and one bronze in different powerlifting in the main competitions.
Solangi’s outstanding performance started with a powerful back squat that saw him effortlessly lift 90 kg and win a gold medal.
Saifullah Solangi was unfazed by the difficulty and went on to win the deadlift competition by lifting 115 kg, bringing honor to his nation, and earning another gold medal.
With a total weight of 245 kg, a silver medal, and a bronze medal in the bench press with a weight of 40 kg, Saifullah displayed his steadfast prowess.
The renowned athlete received praise from head coach Sajid Imran and coach Razia Perveen, who recognized his unwavering dedication and rigorous training schedule.
“Winning two gold, one silver, and one bronze is a superb performance, and he has made us proud,” exclaimed Sajid Imran.
PM Shehbaz Sharif sent his best wishes in advance to the 87-member team of athletes with disabilities who will be representing Pakistan in the international competition.
