Roz Purcell declared that she would keep living with her partner and had purchased a forest with the money she had saved up for a house.
She recently engaged her followers in a Q&A on Instagram. Roz responded that she had previously “spent her house savings on something else” when asked if she planned to move to the country in the future.
The former Miss Ireland said: “Okay I’m not going to drag this on any longer because I know you’re like just tell us. So yeah I bought a forest so it wouldn’t get knocked down so I’m going to live in a tree house when I’m older.”
Roz claimed that since she lives with her lover, she doesn’t require a home. She also emphasised how fortunate she is to be able to conserve the forest given her financial circumstances.
She added: “Also very conscious that I can spend my savings to buy a forest that I am not in dire need of a home. I do live with my boyfriend. I do want to say that because I know there are people who are coming to my DMs like, ‘Well it’s well for some’ and I totally get that. So I am just going to make a point of it now and say I am very lucky that I can spend my savings on protecting a woodland.”
The Clonmel lady continued to explain that she has “no rational mind and can’t say no to nature or animals”. She continued to tell her 539,000 followers: “It’s not like a huge forest now. I’m not well off but I felt like I couldn’t not do it.
“Also hoping to rescue some woodland pigs to live their best life – I want name suggestions. I am very aware that I am very lucky that I can spend my savings to conserve some woodlands.
“I also have no rational mind and can’t say no to nature or animals. And I completely agree I am very lucky I can do that.”
