A STUDENT who was traveling with friends in Belgium died after falling from a fifth-floor apartment window.
After the June 16 incident, Roudhan Beckwith, 20, was referred to be “loved” by his coworkers.
The ten-person group had arrived at their residence the day before, according to evidence presented during an investigation into his death at Bradford Coroner’s Court.
Roudhan, a Yorkshire native from Huddersfield, had spent their first evening there in his bed by the window, from which he had fallen at some point during the night, coroner’s officer Victoria Normington testified in court.
The following morning, at 5:40, it was determined that he had passed away from his numerous wounds.
The Holmfirth Vineyard restaurant, where the young guy worked part-time while also attending school, was one of many organizations that paid tribute to him.
The restaurant’s team said that they were “absolutely devastated” by his loss.
They added: “This young man made a huge impression on all of us with his beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and his great work ethic.
“Everyone including his peers, teammates and customers alike loved him so very much and we will miss him dearly.
“Our heartfelt condolences, thoughts, love and tears go out to his wonderful parents, family and little brother.”
The hearing was postponed while Assistant Coroner Ian Pears awaited additional information from Belgian authorities, testimony from Roudhan’s family, and a post-mortem report.
His death will be the subject of an inquest in January of 2019.
