HISTORICAL Rose-Marie, an Irish singer, tragically her away unexpectedly in Blackpool, shocking her fans.
Co Down singer Rose-Marie Kane was also a radio and TV personality.
Confirming her sad passing, a post on her Facebook page, said: “It is with heavy hearts & enormous great sadness, that we have to announce the sudden passing of our much loved Rose-Marie, in her beloved second home of Blackpool.
“Rest in Peace, dear heart.”
Fans expressed their grief and shock as her page was flooded with tributes.
One fan said: “Oh this is so heartbreaking, I’m completely shocked.”
Another said “this is so heartbreaking”, adding “thinking of Rose-Marie family and loved ones at this so sad a time”.
Rose-Marie won the International Music Awards’ Most Popular Singer title after releasing 19 albums.
Additionally, she has repeatedly sold out the London Palladium.
The singer was well-known for her role as a former judge on two seasons of the BBC talent program Go For It, and she also found success as a local and national television personality in the United Kingdom.
In addition, she had made appearances on several other programs, such as Doctors, Big Brother’s Little Brother, and Shooting Stars.
Outside of the small screen, she had a passion for performing and had roles in radio, stage, and the 2001 movie Cold Fish as Rita.
She was also deeply committed to charitable activities, particularly advocating for road safety and helping the less fortunate.
