Police have confirmed that a man allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend in front of their two children.
On March 6, Romier Narag, 27, his partner Frances Kendra Lucero, also 27, and their kids had dinner at a restaurant in Daly City, California.
The couple got into a heated argument on the way home.
Frances was allegedly shot several times as she ran towards their Daly City, California home by Romier Narag after he pulled out his 9mm handgun.
The two children watched their mother being murdered in shock as Frances, a Filipino-American woman, passed away.
Romier Narag was detained and accused of murder and endangering children.
Frances’s family is currently caring for their young children while he is detained at the San Mateo County Jail.
To help Frances’s immediate family and cover the cost of her memorial services, a GoFundMe campaign was started.
The victim’s family said of her: “Frances was a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched countless lives of those around her.
“She sadly leaves behind her mother, father, little brother, little sister and her two babies.
“Frances dedicated her life to her children and always spread the love she had to share.
“She was the most genuine, thoughtful, loyal and ambitious woman we’ve all been blessed to know.
“Frances was that friend that would help you celebrate good times and provide nothing but support during the bad times.
“We are devastated by Frances’ unexpected loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.
“We want to give Frances the memorial she truly deserves, honour her memory and say our last goodbyes.”
The campaign raised more money than it was expected to with 697 donations totaling $37,370.
The court hearing for Romier Narag is set for March 16 while the investigation into Frances’s slaying is still ongoing.
