The follow-up to last year’s Redmi Pad is reportedly in the works and could debut later this year. The company hasn’t released any information about the rumored Redmi Pad 2, but a tipster recently revealed some of its specifications. These include the display and camera specifications for the alleged tablet. Another rumor claims that a Snapdragon 680 SoC will power it. Similar display and camera specifications have previously shown up online in relation to the tablet.
Through a post, tipper has revealed a few details about the alleged Redmi Pad 2. The tablet might debut with a 2K resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and LCD display larger than 10 inches. Additionally, according to the tip, the Redmi Pad 2 will have an 8,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 680 SoC.
The tipster also leaked information about the alleged Redmi tablet’s cameras, which indicate that the Redmi Pad 2 has an 8-megapixel main rear sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. It might come pre-installed with Android 13 and the company’s MIUI 14 UI.
Prior leaks of the Redmi Pad 2 specifications were also confirmed by the new report. The same camera information and processor name were also leaked previously. It was anticipated that the tablet would have a 10.95-inch (1,200 x 1,920 pixels) LCD screen.
As a replacement for the Redmi Pad, which was introduced in October of last year, Redmi Pad 2 is anticipated to make its debut. The tablet has a 10.61-inch screen with 2,000×1,200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and up to 6GB of RAM.
