The newest device from the Xiaomi-owned brand, the Redmi 12, was unveiled on Friday in a few countries. Along with three RAM and storage configurations, the new product is available in three different colors. The triple rear camera system on the Redmi 12 is headed by a 50-megapixel primary sensor and is powered by a MediaTek G88 SoC. It has a hole-punch display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The 5,000mAh battery on the new 4G smartphone supports 18W fast charging.
Price and Availability:
The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the Redmi 12 costs EUR 199 in Europe. The device can be purchased for THB 5,299 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration on Thailand’s Shopee website. The cost of the most expensive model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage has not yet been disclosed. The phone is available in the following colors: Midnight Black, Polar Silver, and Sky Blue.
Redmi 12 availability and pricing information has not been disclosed for other markets.

The Redmi 12 has a 6.79-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,460 pixels) display with a 1500:1 contrast ratio and a variable refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It has a dual-SIM (Nano+microSD slot) and runs MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. The panel with the SGS low blue light certificate covers 70% of the NTSC color gamut and has a peak brightness rating of 550 nits. Up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC power the mid-range smartphone. Users can virtually increase the internal RAM’s capacity to 16GB by adding internal storage, which will increase speed.

The Redmi 12 has a triple rear camera setup with AI support that consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The phone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front.
Storage:
The Redmi 12 has an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB using eMMC 5.1. But the storage can be increased by a microSD card by up to 1TB.
Battery and Charging:
The Redmi 12 also includes a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. On a single charge, the battery is claimed to provide up to 26 hours of reading time, up to 23 days of standby time, and up to 37 hours of talk time.

Additionally, it is 168.60 x 76.28 x 8.17mm in size and 198.5 grams in weight.
Features:
The new phone offers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, NFC, FM radio, IR blaster, USB type-C port, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options. An e-compass and an accelerometer are onboard sensors. For biometric authentication, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, it offers AI face unlock. It has an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance.
