On July 5, Red Magic 8S Pro will undoubtedly debut in China. The Red Magic 7S Pro, which was released in July 2022, is anticipated to be replaced by the new phone. The previous device had a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Additionally, the company unveiled the Red Magic 8 Pro in January of last year, which featured a 6,000mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The RAM and processor specifications for the upcoming Red Magic 8S Pro were also disclosed by the company on Tuesday.
The Red Magic 8S Pro will go on sale on July 5th, according to information posted on Red Magic’s official Weibo page. The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version SoC will be used in the phone, the company added in a social media confirmation. The company revealed in another post that the phone will have a staggering 24GB of RAM, exclusive of virtual RAM.
Leading smartphone manufacturers like Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme may be developing devices with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, according to a recent report. Another smartphone with 24GB RAM is expected to debut in July or August: the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
The Red Magic 8S Pro is anticipated to launch with 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, according to a FoneArena report. Notably, a 16GB + 1TB version of the Red Magic 8 Pro is already available. A 6.8-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is anticipated for the device.
A 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro camera lens are most likely to be found in the Red Magic 8S Pro’s triple rear camera unit. A 16-megapixel sensor is anticipated to be housed under the display for the front camera.
At launch, the Obsidian Nubia Red Magic 7S Pro with 12GB + 256GB was priced at $729. The Mercury and Supernova versions with 8GB + 512GB, on the other hand, were priced at $899.
