REBECCA Jones, a Mexican-American actress best known for her roles in several well-liked telenovelas, passed away after a harrowing battle with ovarian cancer and lung issues.
The 65-year-old celebrity passed away “peacefully” and surrounded by her loved ones, according to a press release.
A few weeks ago, Jones shared a collection of images from the Nothing to See film premiere on Instagram.
“How nice it is to know that so many people love me,” she wrote in the caption on March 5.
She informed her fans that she would be in intensive care for a lung infection and would therefore be unable to attend the premiere.
Her performances in Who Killed Sara?, La Casa de Las Flores, Doa Flor and Her Two Husbands, and other films are remembered. May God forgive both Seora Acero and you.
“She left in peace and with a deep appreciation to her audience for which she worked all her life,” noted Jones’ representative, Dana Vazquez.
Jones, who was raised in California, was born in Mexico City but later moved there as a child.
She completed her education at the University of Southern California, South Coast Actors Corporation, and Saddleback College.
The young woman relocated back to Mexico after working as a waitress for a number of years, where she began her acting career.Alejandro Camacho, an actor, and she were married for 25 years.
The couple had one child, Maximiliano Camacho Jones, and appeared in numerous productions together.
Jones was given the news that she had ovarian cancer back in 2019, which set off a challenging medical battle.
