An Iraq War veteran and mother of two from Florida who had told her family she was terrified of her ex-boyfriend has disappeared.
The last time Rachel Schwartz, 33, was seen leaving her ex-boyfriend John Scorah’s house in Waimauma, Hillsborough County, was on January 31 at around 5 o’clock. She then registered at a crisis centre for veterans.
In the terrifying Ring camera footage, Schwartz can be seen leaving the house while a man shouts, “Rachel, I have everything you need; please stay another day.”
Elizabeth Schrupp, Schwartz’s sister, stated that the sister was scheduled to depart for Minnesota on February 4.
‘Her last message to my dad was that she wanted to come home and she was afraid of her ex. The same day her phone and social media account went silent,’ Schrupp wrote on Facebook.
Although the reason Schwartz stopped by Scorah’s house is unknown, her brother-in-law informed Fox News that the last thing she said to her father was that she was afraid of her ex.
Since her sister’s disappearance, Schrupp stated that police have spoken to her sister’s ex-boyfriend.
Police checked on her ex-residence boyfriend’s for her welfare twice: once when there was no answer and once after she had been missing for over a week, according to Schrupp.
While visiting Florida, Schwartz posted several pictures on social media. Her final post before going missing showed her posing for the camera and eating.
A few weeks before, she published a picture of herself exploring the Sunshine State with the remark, “I enjoy finding wide fields.”
Before moving to Minnesota around late-October, Schwartz completed a PTSD Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, according to her Facebook.
‘I highly recommended written exposure therapy for those who have PTSD and have struggled like I have,’ she previously wrote. ‘And it doesn’t end here. This is only the beginning!’
Schwartz is described as a five-feet and two-inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes.
